Tea seed Cake ,also known as tea seed meal , with other names such as tea bran and tea residue.It is in form of purple-brown particle . it is the residue left after extracing oil from the fruit of wild camellia oil.
Tea seed cake contains 12-18% tea saponin ,which is a hemolytic toxin. It can dissslove the red blood cells of fish , thus being able to killl the wild fish(wild miscellaneous fishes) loaches ,snails,river mussels, frog eggs, tadpoles and some aquatic insects.
Tea saponin is easily soluble in alkaline water, and adding a small amount of lime water when using it can make the efficacy better. Due to its high protein content, tea seed cake is also an efficient organic fertilizer, which is widely used in the cultivation of crops and fruit trees with excellent effects.
